New Zealanders live for the outdoors!
Camping, hiking and swimming are in our blood. In Auckland alone we have 90 beaches within an hour’s drive so strong waterfront skills are commonplace. Kiwis don’t just “take hikes” we ramble across rivers, navigate steep terrain and rugged bush in places like the majestic Southern Alps. We like to think we have a "can do” attitude to life.
We are innovative as a race and feel that we can compete on a worldwide level so Kiwis generally don’t “sweat the small stuf”. We are renowned around the world as hard workers who love to travel. American summer camp is a perfect outlet for our sense of adventure so each year we have a pool of enthusiastic skilled individuals eager to be counselors.
Auckland has great food and great coffee with a temperate climate. You can enjoy a boat ride on the harbor, a walk up a local volcano or just a leisurely visit one of our many beaches. If you are staying for longer I recommend visiting Queenstown and the South Island before you leave. It's the adventure capital of our nation and it's truly breathtaking.
We have New Zealanders attend the fair in Auckland from all over the country and have a very high placement rate so you can be assured that those you are meeting are the very best on offer. I’m looking forward to meeting you!”
Just ‘give it a go’!

Camp America has actively produced a wellspring of talent from Australia since 1972 and we will soon place our 15,000th Aussie participant! There is good reason for this rich history as Aussies seem to have been born for American summer camp. The Australian ethos to just ‘give it a go’ combines with highly desirable skill sets that just seem second nature to them.
Don’t worry about the world ending today, it’s already tomorrow in Australia. - Charles M. Schulz
Aussies live for the outdoors!
With 85% of the country’s population living by the coast, Australians make for the ideal camp counsellor, demonstrating skills such as swimming, water-skiing, wakeboarding, surfing, and lifeguarding. Just add a national passion for sport, a fierce sense of adventure, sprinkled with wit, humour, and a gusto for life, our Aussies will have you on the "dog and bone", wanting more before you know it!

There was a buzz in the air for weeks ...
Our Job Fairs cranked back up in 2015 with huge success in Melbourne and Sydney, and their turnout and popularity merit some real growth in camp attendance.
"There was a buzz in the air for weeks after the Fairs and applicants are already asking us about next year. We can’t wait to have the Directors back for another set of fairs! It is thrilling to host everyone and introduce them to our wonderful country and the best camp staff in the world," says Wendi reflecting on last year's fair.
Remember it'll be summer in January, the perfect time to head down under. The cities boast some of Australia's most famous icons such as the Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Bondi Beach and Melbourne's idyllic Yarra River and landmark St. Kilda Beach precinct. There is nothing like summertime in Australia and the team is excited and ready to host the Directors for another wonderful weekend!
